College Life Update

Hello Everyone,

It's me, again. Sigh.... I'm TOTALLY stressing out!!! College is such a pain!!!

Why the heck is finals week, only 2-3 weeks after Turkey Day?! The higher-ups MUST know that they is NO WAY, one can study with a turkey leg in one hand and a spoonful of mashed potatoes in the other!!!! HAHA!!!

Seriously!! So, I crapped this WHOLE weekend, doing absolutely NOTHING, but EAT, SLEEP & BATHROOM!!!! lol Then I go back to school Monday morning and I'm finishing a paper on the train ride there! IS THAT ANYWAY FOR AN HONOR STUDENT TO BEHAVE??!! HAHAHA

But I'll get over it. I always manage to get everything done in a satisfactory manner. I'VE YET TO BE COMPLETELY SCREWED BY MY PROCRASTINATING WAYS...SO I won't be changing my work habits!!! HAHAHA

Alright, I'm reallly tired...You try staying up until 4 AM everyday for 4 days, you'll be in a coma also!

Til Next time, FOLKS!!!

Nodame Cantabile (J-drama) Review

Hey folks,
Today I'm reviewing a japanese drama called Nodame Cantabile. I haven't watched a J-drama in  awhile, but this was just the one to get me back on track.

This drama is a wacky, weird series full of hilarity. It's about Shinichi Chiaki who is a piano student in a Music Academy in Japan, but his dream is to go to Europe and become a conductor. However, with a fear of planes and boats, his dreams seem impossible (I mean he can't walk to Europe, right? lol) But he meets eccentric and one-of-a-kind Noda Megumi (aka Nodame) who is also a piano student, but she spends most of her time stealing her best friends' lunch boxes. Anyway, Nodame falls in love with him and helps him conquer his fears.

This drama is absolutely hilarious. Yes, alot of it exaggerasted. Like when he smacks her, she flies 10 feet, but I still found it funny as hell. It is a really heartwarming series that increases your appreciation for classical music and hard work. And Chiaki and Nodame are such a strange couple!!! This is unlike any drama you've ever seen!

Give it a try! Looney Express Awards Nodame Cantabile a 4.5/5! YAY!

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Bollywood)

Hey Peps,

It's time for another review, but today I'll be sharing something different. I've got tons of bangali friends...okay, maybe only 3, and they're crazy people. Anyway, one of them forced me to watch a hindi movie.

AND I LOVED IT!!! haha

In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, or otherwise called "Something Happens", Anjali and Rahul are best friends in college. One day, a girl named Tina transfers into their school from London and Rahul falls in love. However, Anjali also realizes her love for Rahul at the same time that she realizes that Rahul and Tina love each other. Unable to continue to be just friends with Rahul, she leaves without a trance, vowing to forget her heartbreak. Rahul and Tina get married and Tina dies shortly after giving birth to her daughter, who she names Anjali. Before her death, Tina had written 8 letters for her daughter, to be given to her one per year. The 8th letter told their love story from college. In that letter, Tina asks her daughter to reunite Rahul and Anjaji, so that they can both be able to be happy, because she knows that they were always meant to be. And little Anjali sets her plan into motion. In the end, her papa gets the love of his life, she gets a great mom and granny gets a mother-in-law to talk about at her get togethers with friends. The end!

This was such a sweet love story and was actually very funny, though it also had me crying like hell! Seriously! Certain parts were just too much for me to handle and I'll start blubbering! ESPECIALLY THE END!!! OMG!!! The only aspect I didn't like very much is the length of the musical parts of the movie. I understand that its a huge part of what makes Bollywood..well, Bollywood and that they helped the story along, but the longness of it and the repetitiveness made me fast forward through most of it.

Looney Express awards its first Bollywood movie a 4/5!! Hip Hip Hooray!!!! You can watch it on youtube!

Skip Beat! Season 1

OMG! I can't believe I forgot to write about this!

A few days ago I finally finished an anime I've started watching months ago. It's 25 eps longs and called Skip Beat. Anyone into anime would have most definitely heard about it. If there had to be one anime chosen to be the "Shojo Anime of 2009"... IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SKIP BEAT!!!! No other possible way!

Skip Beat follows the joys and woes of Kyoko Mogami. She use to be a very innocent girl who was extremely loyal to her childhood friend and love Sho Fuwa and she was happy living her life just doing his chores and cooking for him if it would help him achieve his dreams of becoming a star. She believed that she was as important to him as he was to her. WRONG!!!!! One day she overhears him telling another girl that she is only a maid to him, nothing special. That day, a new Kyoko is born. The one who is confident, tough as nails and going to become an actress and get revenge on Sho by becoming an even bigger star than him. Along the way, she makes her first best friend and finds a possible love interest. How will our heroine end up? Watch the anime and wait for the second season..or read the manga! *grin*

My Review: This anime is perfect if you want loads of laughs. Kyoko is such an interesting character. I've never seen anyone else like her. She sweet, and very hardworking, but also secretly has quite a temper. She never expresses her anger outwardly. She keeps it all in her mind where she hosts a gang of evil spirits whose aura can sometimes be felt by the object of her rage. hahaha This series is filled with endless hilarity and the plot is quite interesting. You see Kyoko has she auditions for parts and improves as an actor. Give it a try! I guarantee that you'll bust a bust while laughing!

Looney Express awards Skip Beat! a 4/5! YAY!

Hahaha! For those of you who haven't met him on facebook, this is Peter...Peter the Pumpkin. HAHAHAH!!!! Yes, people this is my naughty fun. Last Wednesday, the nature club had a paint-a-pumpkin event. And those of you who know me, I love kiddie things! So there was no way I wasn't painting a pumpkin. seems I got just a little bit carried away! But it was a blast nonetheless!

Hehehe....Peter-the-Pumpkin makes another grand entrance with a sexy friend. Everyone, meet Lady Duck. My friend, Kim who was humoring me (She was all..You wanna paint a pumpkin, don't you? Sigh... lol) made this one. Isn't it nearly as lovely as Peter? Great fun, guys!

...It's my super-duper-amazing-tuma-cookie!!!! lolz...There was also cookie decorating offered by our school's food service. Thanks Lackman! Oh man..this cookie could easily be the best cookie I have ever eaten! It was simply amazingly, decadent! But it made me a bit ill later that night since it was so sickeningly sweet (AH! AWESOME ALLITERATION! ... I DID IT AGAIN! I'm simply amazing!), but it was totally worth the excrutiating nausea.

Well, no more for now folks. I'll do more exciting fun college stuff and keep updating!!!
Til Morrow..Parting is such sweet sorrow!
